Policy statement.

  • Our Commitment: The purpose of this policy is to ensure a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone who attends our workshops and classes. The Creative Tribe Art Class believes that creativity thrives when people feel safe, respected, and valued for who they are.
  • Fair Treatment: The Creative Tribe Art Class is committed to treating all participants fairly and equally irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or socio-economic background.
  • Zero Tolerance: The Creative Tribe Art Class opposes all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination, bullying, harassment, or exclusion in any classes and workshops, to maintain a supportive and creative space.

Dignity and Respect

Every participant is entitled to a studio environment that promotes dignity and mutual respect. No form of intimidation, bullying, or derogatory behaviour will be tolerated.

Raising a Concern

Anyone who experiences or witnesses discrimination, harassment, bullying, exclusion, or other behaviour that causes concern during a workshop is encouraged to raise it with The Creative Tribe Art Class as soon as they feel able. Concerns may be raised privately. We will take concerns seriously, listen respectfully, and handle them as sensitively and confidentially as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we will consider the circumstances and take reasonable steps to address the concern.

Accessibility

The Creative Tribe Art Class will endeavour to select workshop venues that are accessible. IMPORTANT: Any accessibility requirements or adjustments you may need MUST be stated on your booking form when you book. This includes, for example, mobility access, seating requirements, communication needs, sensory considerations, or other support that may help you take part. Providing this information in advance is essential so that we can discuss your needs, check what is possible at the venue, and make reasonable arrangements where practicable. We cannot guarantee that a particular adjustment can be provided, especially where we have not been told about it in advance. If your needs change after booking, or you are unable to include them on the booking form, please contact us as soon as possible before the workshop. Information you provide will be handled sensitively and used to consider and arrange appropriate support.

Encouragement

Every student will be supported to develop their artistic potential at their own pace, fostering a community of shared learning and mutual encouragement.

Action on Breaches

As a sole trader, The Creative Tribe Art Class takes the atmosphere of classes very seriously. Any participant who breaches this policy through discriminatory or harassing behaviour may be asked to stop the behaviour or leave the workshop where proportionate and necessary. Any refund decision will be considered under the Cancellation & Refund Policy and applicable law.

Review of this Policy

This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated when necessary to reflect changes in our workshops, venues, practices, or applicable guidance and legislation.

The Law

This policy is intended to support fair and inclusive practice and should be applied in accordance with applicable law, including the Equality Act 2010. This policy does not replace legal advice or guarantee compliance in every circumstance.
