Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Creative Tribe Art Class
By booking and paying for a place on a one-off workshop or four-week course, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read these terms before booking. Where requested or applicable, participants may also need to complete a Student Contract and/or Emergency Contact Form; details will be provided in advance. The cancellation terms below explain our standard approach to customer cancellations. They do not remove or limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
1. Customer Cancellations and Graduated Refund Tiers
We operate a graduated cancellation policy based on the amount of notice provided. Refund eligibility is calculated from the exact scheduled start time of your one-off workshop, or the first session of your four-week short course.
- 7 days or more before the relevant start time: eligible for a 100% refund of the fee paid.
- More than 48 hours but less than 7 days before the relevant start time: eligible for a 50% refund of the total fee paid.
- 48 hours or less before the relevant start time: no standard refund is ordinarily available under this policy, subject to your statutory rights and the circumstances of the booking.
These are the standard terms for customer cancellations and are subject to any rights or remedies that apply by law. If your circumstances fall outside the situations described here, please contact us so we can explain the options available.
2. Attendee Substitution (Send a Friend)
If you fall within the 48-hour non-refundable window or the 50% partial-refund window, you may nominate a substitute to attend in your place, subject to notifying us in advance and providing the information we reasonably need.
One-off workshops: please notify us by email at least 2 hours before the start time, providing the substitute attendee’s name and contact details.
Four-week short courses: you may transfer your entire place to another individual before the course commences. Please notify us by email at least 2 hours before the first session starts, providing the substitute attendee’s name and contact details.
Any financial reimbursement between you and the substitute attendee must be managed independently between you. The Creative Tribe Art Class is not responsible for payments or disputes between the original and substitute attendees. The substitute attendee must comply with the relevant booking terms and provide any information reasonably required for safe and appropriate participation.
3. Four-Week Course Commencement
For a four-week course, the graduated refund notice period applies to the scheduled start time of the first session of the course. The course place is sold as a complete unit rather than as four separate weekly bookings. Please review the dates carefully before booking.
4. Mid-Course Absences
The four-week course is progressive and blocks are sold as a complete unit. Once the course has officially commenced, we cannot ordinarily offer partial refunds, pro-rata credits, or make-up sessions for individual weekly classes missed by a participant. This does not affect any rights you may have where a session is cancelled or the service is not provided as agreed.
5. Cancellation or Changes by The Creative Tribe Art Class
In the exceptional event that a workshop or course session must be cancelled by us due to tutor illness, venue issues, or other unforeseen operational circumstances, we will contact affected attendees as soon as reasonably possible.
If we cancel a one-off workshop or a session of a course, we will explain the options available. Where we are unable to provide the booked session, we will offer an appropriate refund for the affected service or, where suitable and agreed, an alternative date or replacement session. If we cancel an entire four-week course before it begins, we will offer a refund of the fee paid for the course. Any option offered will be subject to applicable consumer law; we will not use this policy to exclude a refund or other remedy where the law requires one.
If we need to change a venue, date, or time, we will notify you as soon as possible and explain any options available. If a proposed change means we cannot provide the service you booked as agreed, we will discuss an appropriate resolution with you in line with your legal rights.
6. How to Request a Cancellation or Substitution
To request an eligible cancellation or to register an attendee substitution, please email us at thecreativetribeart@gmail.com. The timestamp of your email will serve as the record for determining the notice tier. Please include your name, the workshop or course booked, the date, and whether you are requesting a cancellation or a transfer.
7. Refund Method and Timing
Where a refund is due, we will confirm the amount and arrange it using the original payment method where possible. If the original payment method cannot reasonably be used, we will contact you to agree an appropriate alternative. We will tell you if any further information is needed and aim to process eligible refunds promptly, subject to any payment-provider processing times.
8. Online Bookings and Your Legal Rights
We will make this policy available before payment and provide or make accessible a copy of the applicable booking terms after your booking. Cancellation rights can depend on the type of service and how it was booked. Some leisure activities booked for a specific date or period may be exempt from the usual 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts, but this does not apply automatically to every booking. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory consumer rights that apply to your booking.
